BOBETTE BIRD BIOGRAPHY A VERSATILE ARTIST PRODUCING CREATIVE REALISM

Bobette has spent her life residing in such divergent locales as Oklahoma, Texas, Peru, Canada, Turkey, Venezuela, Connecticut, Iran, Indonesia, Libya, the Pacific Northwest and the California Desert.

Bobette Bird has absorbed all she has learned from various cultures into her work and poured the heart and soul of her experience into a large body of accomplished, spirited paintings. Her palette is rich and multichromatic in various media- oil, watercolor and oriental ink and watercolors. She selects the technique and medium that best suits the subject and satisfies her mood.

Her work has been shown internationally in group and one-person exhibitions during the 60's and 70's. Since returning to the U.S. her work has been included in juried museum and gallery exhibitions. She has had several one-woman gallery exhibitions and participated in group shows. Bobette's work is in private and corporate collections in the United States, Canada, England, Venezuela, Iran, Norway, Indonesia, and Japan.

Today, Bobette Bird divides her time between studios in the rugged Northwest and the serene California Desert. The artist has studied, painted, exhibited, taught others and owned her own art consulting business over a four decade career. Recent years have been devoted to painting and volunteering in Artists Council of the Palm Springs Desert Museum.
